The Metrolina Chapter has new and exciting news for the New Year
We will be hosting our Chapter Meetings during the first quarter of 2010 at the Sheraton – Charlotte Airport Hotel. This new venue will provide a more appeasing atmosphere and environment in which our members can enjoy a host of amenities as well as utilize the various lounging areas before and after meeting to network. There is also an area called the “LINK” where you’ll have free wireless access to check email, etc. The Sheraton – Charlotte Airport Hotel has undergone a total renovation, and the board is sure our members will appreciate the rewards associated with the new location. In addition, the board will have a monthly drawing to raffle off to one lucky Chapter Member a chance to win either lunch for two or an overnight stay at the Sheraton – Airport Hotel.
The Chapter incurred extra costs in 2009 as a result of meeting room charges, special added events during monthly meetings and food from the Blake Hotel. We expect to see many of these costs subside by moving to the new location. However some costs will carry over into 2010. With all of this said costs for Chapter Meetings will increase by $5.00 dollars across the board for members and non-members. This will allow the chapter to continue bringing value to our membership with a host of events planned this year and continue to provide a light meal. The new location is less than 10 minutes from the Blake Hotel and the uptown area and is easily accessible from all major highways without traffic hassles.
The Metrolina Chapter values its members and we look forward to a New Year, with exciting speakers, and events for you to enjoy. Your continued support and participation is greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing you on Jan. 19th to kick off the start of the New Year and what we anticipate to be a comeback year for Project Managers and the Metrolina Chapter.
